"Disappointed. I changed my auto and home owners to State Farm a year ago. Joe was very helpful and nice to do business with. However, when my policies were about to renew and I called with questions, I waited for a return phone call that never came. While waiting I decided to get a couple quotes elsewhere and while comparing quotes I discovered that my policy with State Farm was missing vital coverage for my vehicle. Now I understand how they were able to get me a lower rate. Every time I called back to the office I was treated rudely, they refused to explain my policy, and then refused to cancel my policy until days before. Not once was I asked why I was leaving, not once did anyone there care about my business. This was my first and last experience with State Farm, and especially this office. If you do business here, I strongly recommend verifying your coverage. That great rate might look tempting, but if you get in a wreck, you might be in for a nasty surprise."
"We’re sorry to hear that you were disappointed with your experience, and we appreciate you sharing your concerns. We do want to clarify a couple of points for anyone reading this review.
Our office does not intentionally reduce or remove coverage in order to provide a lower rate. When quoting a new customer, our standard practice is to quote coverage consistent with their existing policy or better unless the customer specifically requests otherwise. We also make every effort to explain coverage options so customers can make informed decisions about what best fits their needs.
Regarding the cancellation, we did not refuse to cancel your policies. Because the request was made several weeks in advance, we asked that you contact us closer to the requested cancellation date due to limitations on how far in advance our system allows us to process certain policy changes.
That said, we are disappointed to hear that you felt your questions were not addressed and that your interactions with our office came across as rude or uncaring. That is not the experience we want anyone to have, and we will use your feedback to improve our communication and follow-up.
